The Presidential Wave

The Presidential Wave is a series of photographs consisting of waves and hand gestures from presidents and presidential hopefuls. These photographs were printed, mounted, and placed around the abandoned Viaduct and a connected abandoned studio in Philadelphia, Pa.  The bridge and studio have recently been places of exploration and escape for my friends and I, as well as many other people.

The waves are intended to be a greeting towards others exploring the spaces as well as a goodbye. With city plans to convert the bridge into a public green space, the waves also function as a fond farewell to the location as it exists now.

With the current political climate it only felt fitting to say hello and goodbye with a presidential wave.
